The collapse into administration of 169 year old British retail giant, House of Fraser, has seen Australian fashion brands affected with estimates that suppliers are owed in the region of AUD 131 million.  Ragtrader reports that Australian brands stocked by House of Fraser include Talulah, Seafolly, Bardot Junior, Billabong, C/Meo and Elle Macpherson Body.

In what could potentially become the biggest high street casualty in the UK, fashion brand Jigsaw has removed stock from its 20 House of Fraser concessions, and Karen Millen – which is owed more than £950,000 – is understood to have followed suit.  Others are owed even more: Mulberry is out of pocket by £2.4m, while All Saints is owed close to £1.8m and Giorgio Armani almost £1.6m.
